Long-term Care Family Forum A forum for families and friends of assisted living residents will empower individuals to advocate for quality care, give an outlet to share experiences and teach them how to have a positive impact on the lives of their loved ones. The Heritage Agency's Johnson County Taskforce on Aging will host the forum on Thursday, May 19, at the Coralville Library from 4-5 p.m. The free event is open to the public and will comprise speakers, open discussion, a question and answer session, as well as information tables. The speakers will voice concerns and possible solutions, speak about positive and negative experiences with the long-term care system, and empowerment through joining together. Those who attend will have an opportunity to hold open discussion with the featured speakers and resource people. Those planning to attend are asked to park on the lower level and enter at Schwab Auditorium level. For more information contact Bob Welsh, Johnson County Taskforce chair at 319-354-4618 or by email at welshbob@aol.com.
