Cedar Rapids-based Industrial Energy Applications and Fairfax-based Lattice Communications have formed a joint venture company to supply, manage and service distributed power generation.
The joint venture, All Points Power, offers power, generator monitoring, maintenance and management nationwide. It will offer companies the ability to manage the allocation of power, as well as maintenance of generators, wind turbines, switch gear, uninterruptible power supply, solar energy and equipment for heating ventilation and air conditioning.
“The launch of All Points Power allows our two companies to combine our strengths to service customers in the telecommunications and distributed generation market sectors with a one stop shop for equipment, services and long-term care, allowing customer to outsource their reliability needs and focus on their core business,” said Randy Ports, president of Industrial Energy Applications Inc.
Lattice Communicatons President Bruce Leventhal said Lattice's innovative approach to online marketing provides opportunities for the new company.
Industrial Energy Applications was acquired from Alliant Energy in a March 2011 management buyout. It remains in the Alliant Tower in downtown, where it will share space with All Points Power.
Steve Kent of IEA is All Points Power's general manager.
