Collins Aerospace this week introduced Aurora, the company's first fully lie-flat business class suite designed for narrow-body aircraft.
“Aurora's exceptional comfort, space and thoughtful amenities offer travelers a luxurious retreat,” said Cynthia Muklevicz, vice president of business development at Collins Aerospace.
“Intelligent design, engineering and integration provide premium levels of privacy, living area and customizable options without impacting cabin density,” she said.
Aurora also maximizes cabin density while increasing crew work areas and storage, giving cabins a more open feel, the company said in a news release.
The seat width is maximized, giving passengers more room than existing business suites, with a 78-inch bed length. Doors are available.
The company will begin delivering the Aurora suites in 2024. The suites were on display at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, this week.
Raytheon Technologies is the parent company of Collins Aerospace, the largest private employer in Cedar Rapids.
