Iowa City, Iowa - The Iowa Credit Union League is hosting its first ever Gen Y Summit on Wednesday, June 15 in Iowa City.
More than 75 credit union CEOs, marketers, directors, and other executive staff are expected to attend the conference focusing on reaching the Gen Y market.
“Many Iowa credit unions have implemented some creative strategies to reach and retain younger Iowans,” said Patrick S. Jury, President/CEO of Iowa Credit Union League. “This conference will bring together credit union representatives from across the state to collaborate and brainstorm new ideas and tactics they can implement in their own community.”
The event will kick off with keynoter and facilitator, Brent Dixon, Filene Research Institute, who will discuss what the Gen Y market wants from their financial institutions and will share examples of credit unions that have been successful in reaching this demographic.
In addition, Charise Flynn of Dwolla will help attendees understand how the social payment network, Dwolla, works and how credit unions can integrate this tool into their strategies to reach the Gen Y market.
Representatives from Affinity Credit Union, Collins Community Credit Union, Des Moines Police Officers Credit Union and Linn Area Community Credit Union will also sit on a panel to share initiatives their credit unions have implemented.
