CEDAR RAPIDS -- In Tolerance Contract Manufacturing has received Rockwell Collins' 2011 LEAN Award and Supplier of the Year Award in the Mechanicals Category.
The Supplier of the Year award acknowledgs significant contributions made during the year by suppliers and is based on quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead time and customer service. The LEAN Recognition is tied closely to the Supplier of the Year award, recognizing manufacturers who integrate LEAN principles into their operations.
Robert Becker, president of In Tolerance, credited the company's employees with achieving the awards.
"The awards are a tribute to the people's values that accomplished such a mission," Becker said. "Our entire team made these two awards possible. It is because everyone at In Tolerance does their best that our team can achieve these amazing results in quality delivered on time."
Founded as the Norman Scott Co. in 1947, In Tolerance, 126 29th Street Dr. SE, is a prime supplier to Rockwell Collins. The company also has a diverse client base that includes clients throughout the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico who represent medical, aerospace, communications, food processing, and military industries.
