ImOn to spend $1 million next year on network bandwidth

ImOn Communications says it will spend $1 million to increase bandwidth speeds across its service footprint in parts of Cedar Rapids.
In a letter to customers Thursday, ImOn said the additional web traffic from new customers in 2018 put extra stress on the company's service hubs.
The company plans to update equipment at existing service hubs to handle more traffic, and add more across the city to reduce the load on each individual node.
Folience, The Gazette's parent company, is an investor in ImOn.
