Hotel at Kirkwood Center joins Summit hotels
The Hotel at Kirkwood Center that opened last year in Cedar Rapids has affiliated with Summit Hotels & Resorts.
Kirkwood Community College, which owns and operates the hotel, announced the affiliation in a statement released Thursday. It described the Summit chain as a "global concierge, multi-lingual and multi-cultural, providing guests in every location with an insider's knowledge of the neighborhood."
The college opened the $31 million, 71-room hotel in July 2010.
