Horizons announces new program directors

Horizons, A Family Service Alliance proudly welcomes aboard two new program directors: Perry Howell, Psy.D, Ph.D, and Christine Rogers Cork, Psy.D.
Bill Gardam, Horizons President & CEO states, “I am particularly pleased that we have been able to recruit two people with the caliber of professional experience and educational background, as well as earned reputations, that both Christine and Perry bring to Horizons.”
Dr. Howell will lend his extensive expertise to the iCan program which delivers the agency's Behavioral Health Intervention Services. He earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology in Norfolk, Virginia, and Ph.D. in Communication Studies at the University of Iowa. He holds licenses in Iowa as a Health Service Provider and Psychologist and is also a Chartered Psychologist and Registered Clinical Psychologist in the United Kingdom. A professor at the University of Iowa and Coe College, Perry has taught such courses as clinical psychology, abnormal psychology, surveillance studies, as well as testing and measurement.
Dr. Rogers Cork will oversee the functions of Clinical Services. She earned her Master's Degree in Community Counseling at Georgia State University in Atlanta and Doctor of Psychology, Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado in Greeley. She holds licenses in Iowa as a Health Service Provider and Psychologist and is certified in Level I EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Training. Christine has worked at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine as Director of the Medical Student Counseling Center since 2006 while also seeing a limited number of clients as a part-time therapist at Horizons.
Both Dr. Howell and Dr. Rogers Cork joined Horizons in June. The organization welcomes them with the utmost confidence that their guidance will continue program success.
