New Employees
GreatAmerica Financial Services announced two staff additions: Harrison Gerber (see photo), a graduate of Missouri Southern State University, joined as account manager, and Meg Bailey (see photo), previously with the city of Coralville, joined as account support adviser.
Jonathan Schmidt (see photo) joined Kids First Law Center in Cedar Rapids as staff attorney. Schmidt relocated from Ohio, where he worked in private practice.
Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors hired Mike Leibold (see photo) in its Cedar Rapids office.
Promotions
Chris Thompson was named service center manager of Dayton Freight Lines Inc.'s Cedar Rapids service center. Thompson has more than 22 years of industry experience.
Hills Bank and Trust Co. promoted Kelsey Redlinger (see photo) to first vice president branch manager of the Hills office. Redlinger was previously personal banking officer.
Robin Therme was promoted to senior vice president and general manager of CIVCO's Medical Solutions multi-modality imaging business unit in Coralville. Therme most recently worked as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Nat Geissel will lead CIVCO's radiation oncology business unit as senior vice president and general manager. Geissel joined CIVCO in June 2012 as vice president of product line management and marketing.

The National Association of Realtors awarded Terry Knake (see photo), Skogman Realty, and Roger Stigers (see photo), Iowa Realty, with the status of Realtor emeritus.
Brandon resident Deb Larson was recognized by the Iowa Hospice and Palliative Care Association as a 2012 Volunteer of the Year. Larson volunteers with Iowa Hospice's Cedar Rapids volunteer team.
KJWW Engineering Consultants, with an office in Cedar Rapids, placed third in the integrated marketing category of the 2012 Zweig Marketing Letter Marketing Excellence Awards for the firm's marketing campaign for its 50th anniversary in 2011.

The Iowa Pork Producers Association will hold the 2013 Iowa Pork Congress Jan. 23 and 24 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.
