Hearth & Home Technologies, an Eastern Iowa fireplace and stove manufacturer, is expanding the production capacity of its plant and adding 40 jobs.
The company, a subsidiary of HNI Corp., will be relocating its regional distribution center from Mount Pleasant to another Iowa community to make room for the manufacturing expansion. The plant, which will be adding natural gas hearth products for the company's Monessen brand, employs about 200 people and is one of the largest employers in the Henry County community.
Lakeville, Minn.-based Hearth & Home Technologies has operated a manufacturing facility in Mount Pleasant since 1965. The company, founded in 1927, manufactures and installs wood burning, natural gas and electric fireplaces; wood, pellet, and gas fireplace inserts; gas logs and mantels and surrounds.
Hearth & Home Technologies sells its products through dealers in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and South Africa. The company also manages Fireside Hearth & Home retail stores and builder design centers.
