Growmark reports $8.4 billion sales for fiscal 2011

The big regional co-op system that owns the FS trademark generated sales of $8.4 billion in the fiscal year just ended.
Growmark CEO Jeff Solberg told members that sales set a new record, and pretax income for the 2011 fiscal year was the second highest in the co-op's history.
An estimated $80 million in patronage refunds will be returned to members of Growmark-affiliated co-ops and farmer-owners, according to a statement released Friday, August 26.
Growmark specializes in agriculture-related services and products, as well as grain marketing in 31 states and Ontario, Canada. It serves more than 250,000 customers.
