Former Genencor executive dead after accident in North Carolina
Georg Anderl, a former plant manager and director of operations at Genencor International in Cedar Rapids, died Monday after being struck by a vehicle while jogging.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported that Anderl, 53, was struck about 7 p.m. Monday by a sport utility vehicle after it left the roadway in Wilmington, N.C.. Witness accounts indicated Anderl had been jogging, but had stopped to rest when he was struck by the vehicle.
