FAA shutdown won't impact local airport projects

No active airport construction projects in Iowa have been affected by a partial shutdown of the Federal Aviation Administration.
Congress adjourned Friday without approving a routine stop-gap funding measure for the FAA, the 21st continuing resolution since the agency's long-term funding authorization expired in 2007.
More than 4,000 FAA employees were furloughed on Saturday.
