The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance has named Pam Hinman as communications manager for the newly formed organization.
Doug Neumann, executive vice president of the Economic Alliance, said Hinman will supervise the communications team and lead the organization's strategic communications and marketing efforts.
Hinman has served as the Director of Marketing & Communications for the past 11 years at The Eastern Iowa Airport.
"I am very excited to join the Economic Alliance and take the skills I have learned at the airport and bring them into the broader economic development community," Hinman said.
Neumann said Hinman will begin her new role January 30. "We are eager to have Pam join the Economic Alliance," he said. "The communications team will be essential in establishing this new organization and creating a unified message.”
The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance began operations on January 1 after the successful merger of Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Cedar Rapids Downtown District and Priority One. The Economic Alliance combines and aligns the economic development, business support and community development efforts of those former organizations with a vision to become one of the top economic growth regions in the country.
