Jul. 5, 2017 3:12 pm, Updated: Jul. 5, 2017 7:50 pm
Dupaco Community Credit Union will build a new branch in Marion, its first in the city.
The Dubuque-based credit union plans to construct a two-story, 7,140-square-foot 'learning lab” branch in a new development at the intersection of Highways 151 and 13. The new branch will be one of the first buildings to occupy Squaw Creek Crossing, a 20-acre mixed-use development.
In a statement, Dupaco said the Marion branch primarily will serve as a place to teach 'members to control their money through hands-on demonstration” of Dupaco's desktop, tablet and mobile deposit services.
The branch also will have an interactive video teller service, which will connect customers via video to tellers who are located in Dubuque.
The Marion location will be Dupaco's 20th branch. It currently operates three branches in Cedar Rapids.
Dupaco has more than 98,000 members and $1.6 billion in assets, according to the National Credit Union Administration.
