HIAWATHA -- For the third time in its 30-year history, Duffy's Collectible Cars has moved to a new larger location in the Corridor.
The business, which specializes in the repairs, restoration and sales of classic automobiles to clients throughout the United States and abroad, has moved from 250 Classic Car Ct. SW in Cedar Rapids to 1195 Boyson Rd. in Hiawatha, the former Intentcity building.
Duffy's Collectible Cars, founded in 1982 by Duffy Shamberger, has been operating under new ownership for about the last decade. The business moved in 1990 to a new 19,425-square-foot building on Classic Car Court off J Street SW from 710 Center Point Rd. NE in Cedar Rapids.
In addition to relocating to Hiawatha, Duffy's Collectible Cars also has added Duffy's Imports, which offers late model used vehicles.
Jamie McLeod, general manager of Duffy's Collectible Cars, said the move to Boyson Road will increase display space and visibility for the business. The 24,000-square-foot building, with its distinctive tent-like design, is located across Boyson Road from Cedar Rapids Toyota and Volkswagen of Cedar Rapids.
