Digging up the Banjo Block
Work continued in earnest Thursday at the so-called Banjo Block site, 515 Fourth Ave. SE. in downtown Cedar Rapids. The Annex on the Square will be a $49 million, four-story, mixed-use development. TWG Development is the builder. Demolition began Dec. 15. (See this Sunday’s Business section to read about Banjo Equipment, still in business in Cedar Rapids.)
