Decorah Country Inn and Suites planning expansion
The owner of the Country Inn & Suites in Decorah is planning a 15-room, two-story addition.
The Decorah City Council has approved a site plan for the project, which will increase the number of guest rooms from 50 to 65. The Decorah Planning and Zoning Commission previously recommended approval of the plan.
Decorah City Manager Chad Bird said Country Inn & Suites, 1202 Highway 9 W, also will be adding 15 parking spaces. Bird said the city's approval will require the developer to address storm water drainage issues.
