Crews scrapping out former Swiss Valley plant
Workers from Tri-State Crane & Rigging Service and All-Temp Refrigeration were at the former Swiss Valley Farms plant, 133 F Ave. NW, on Wednesday to remove valuable refrigeration equipment, pipes and other equipment.
The plant was rendered unusable by the June 2008 Cedar River flood, and Swiss Valley Farms decided not to rebuild.
More than 40 workers lost their jobs at the 88-year-old plant, which made yogurt, cottage cheese and dips.
