A number of companies with operations in the Corridor have been named to Ethisphere Institute's 2015 list of the World's Most Ethical Companies.
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Ethisphere, in a news release announcing its selections, said the designation recognizes businesses that go beyond making statements about doing business 'ethically” and translates those words into action.
Scores are generated in five key categories: ethics and compliance program (35 percent), corporate citizenship and responsibility (20 percent), culture of ethics (20 percent), governance (15 percent) and leadership, innovation and reputation (10 percent).
'Honorees not only promote ethical business standards and practices internally, they exceed legal compliance minimums and shape future industry standards by introducing best practices today,” the organization noted.
Companies named to the list with Corridor operations include Deere, EcoLab, GAP, General Electric, Ingredion, International Paper, Johnson Controls, ManpowerGroup, Marriott International, NextEra Energy, PepsiCo, Petco, Principal Financial Grouo, Rockwell Collins, Schneider Electric, Starbucks, United Parcel Service, U.S. Bank and Wyndham Worldwide.
In 2015, 132 honorees were named spanning 21 countries and five continents and representing over 50 industries. In its ninth year, the list includes 15 nine-time honorees and 11 first-time honorees.
