Conservation Board, AFSCME Local 231 reach proposed settlement

The Linn County Conservation Board and AFSCME Local 231 have reached a proposed settlement for the Conservation bargaining unit.

The agreement proposes to settle wages and insurance for two years.  The packages include annual wage increases of 2.25 percent for two years and increases to employee health insurance premiums, deductibles and maximum out-of-pocket amounts.

The Linn County Conservation Board will vote on the tentative agreement on Monday, March 26, at their regular monthly meeting.

The union has ratified the agreement.

If approved by the Conservation Board, the contracts will become effective July 1, 2012 and will expire on June 30, 2014.
