NEW HIRES
Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids hired Martin Cearras (see photo) for its medical staff at Mercy Pulmonology Clinic and Susan Schima (see photo) as a medical provider at Mercy Cardiology Clinic.
RDA Financial Network in Coralville hired Al Leff, Jim Lane and Todd Farrell as financial advisers. All three were previously with the Iowa City branch of Heartland Investment Associates.
The city of Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department hired Angie Cole (see photo) as recreation superintendent. She was previously Hiawatha parks and recreation director.
GreatAmerica Financial Services hired Emily Stewart (see photo) as VBS invoicing specialist. She had been with Boston's Gourmet Pizza in Tempe, Ariz.
Matthew Manuel (see photo) has joined Geonetric as a front-end developer.
Clickstop in Urbana hired Erika Hempstead (see photo) as financial operations manager, Eric Youngblood (see photo) as a sales and marketing specialist, Patrick Weber (see photo) as Internet marketing specialist and Monica Kelly (see photo) as a project manager.
TrueNorth hired Caitlin Hartman (see photo) as a client service associate with TrueNorth Wealth Management and Julie Fuller (see photo) as account manager in the Risk Management division.
PROMOTIONS
Deloitte promoted Ben Marsden (see photo) to audit manager and Chris Ditscheit (see photo) to tax manager in its Cedar Rapids office.
U.S. Bank promoted Melissa Winter (see photo) to vice president, private banking manager in Cedar Rapids. She formerly was a relationship manager in the Commercial Lending Group.
Design Engineers moved up Justin Marxen (see photo), previously an associate, to associate principal, and Eric Bruxvoort and Jonathan Gettler as associates.
Hills Bank and Trust Co. promoted Dawn Lyons (see photo) to first vice president branch manager at its North Liberty office. She had been a personal banker at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics office.
Clickstop in Urbana promoted Jim Mayhew (see photo), previously vice president culture and communications, to chief culture officer.

Michelle Hook (see photo) purchased Global Apparel and Novelties Inc., 503 Fourth Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids.
KUDOS
Kevin H. Collins (see photo), Sarah J. Gayer (see photo), Glenn L. Johnson (see photo) and Stephanie G. Techau (see photo), all with the Nyemaster Goode Cedar Rapids office, have been named to the 2014 edition of Best Lawyers in America list.
Todd Manternach (see photo), owner of Premier Advisors LLC, received the Richard M. Metcalfe II Memorial Award.
The Cedar Rapids City Hall historical restoration project was recognized as one of the top 2013 Public Works Projects of the Year by the American Public Works Association.
Patricia Evans was named Iowa Employee of the Year by Express Employment Professionals. Evans is in its Hiawatha office.
Melissa Walker (see photo), Area Substance Abuse Council's deputy director of Prevention Services, was selected as Iowa's nominee for the 2013 Prevention Professional of the Year award from the IC&RC.
