Cedar Rapids ranked No. 29 in 'Best Places to Live' list

Cedar Rapids has another item to add to its brag book. The city was ranked 29th in the nation and first of Iowa cities in Livability.com's "Top 100 Best Places to Live."
Palto Alto, Calif. got the No. 1 spot, followed by Boulder, Colo. and Berkeley, Calif.
The organization partnered with the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management to put together the "Best Places to Live" ranking.
The ranking includes cities and towns with populations from 20,000 to 350,000 as of the 2010 Census. The ranking looks at amenities, demographics, economics, education, health care, housing, social and civic capital, transportation and infrastructure.
Iowa cities that made the top 100 list include Cedar Rapids at No. 29, Ames at No. 31, Iowa City at No. 46, Des Moines at No. 69, and West Des Moines at No. 76.
