Casey's General Stores has acquired the former Market Express convenience store on Marion's east side.
The company paid $1,025,000 to acquire the 4,000-square-foot store and a 900-square-foot car wash from NH Petroleum LLC last month, according to Linn County Assessor records.
The Conoco-branded station was reflagged as a Casey's last week. Casey's officials did not return a call seeking comment.
Casey's expects to acquire 74 more stores in its current fiscal quarter and is on pace to build 20 stores and replace 15 stores by the end of the fiscal year, the company said in a recent earnings release.
The Market Express store was built in 1996 and had an assessed value of $937,830.
