Business Property Tax Credit applications due in March

CEDAR RAPIDS - Applications for a 2015 Business Property Tax Credit are due by 4:30 p.m., March 15.

Commercial and industrial property owners are eligible for the credit. Property owners with an existing Business Property Tax Credit and have not changed ownership, use, purpose, legal description of their property are not required to reapply.

The applications are available at the Cedar Rapids Assessor's website: cedarrapids.iowaassessors.com/forms.php.

Property owners may also apply at the Assessor's office, on the second floor of the City Services Center, 500 15th Avenue SW between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Commercial and Industrial property owners outside the city boundaries may apply at the Linn County Assessor's office, on the second floor of the Jean Oxley Public Service Center at 935 2nd Street SW or by calling 319-892-5220.
