Shaun Schroeder joined Tanager Place as a licensed mental health counselor-temporary in Cedar Rapids and Tanner Smith joined as a licensed master social worker-clinic therapist in Coralville.

Promotions

Hills Bank and Trust promoted Angela Langstraat to first vice president, treasury management, Washington office; Molly Wilson to vice president, loan operations manager, Hills office; and Scott Appleget to first vice president, credit underwriting, Hills office.

Certifications

Jonathan Ron, public safety commander at Eastern Iowa Airport, earned an Accredited Airport Executive certification from the American Association of Airport Executives.

Kudos

Budget Blinds President Doug Phillip awarded Terry and Sandy Sill, the owners of the Cedar Rapids and Marion franchises, the 2021 Budget Blinds Franchisees of the Year Award.

Zweig Group has ranked Iowa City-based Neumann Monson Architects the second-best architecture firm to work for in its 2021 national employee experience survey.

Events

The second-quarter Gazette Business Breakfast Series panel will be live online at 9 a.m. June 8 on “The Power Grid of the Future.” Panelists will be Mayuri Farlinger of Alliant Energy; Michaela Freiburger, Dubuque County Energy District; Kerri Johannsen, Iowa Environmental Council; Dusky Terry, ITC Midwest; and Chad Wiltz, Van Meter.
