New hires
The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance hired Caleb Woods as a communications specialist, Erin Foley as a programs specialist and Christine Brewer as a receptionist.
Melanie Cassell has joined Mercy Cardiology Clinic as a nurse practitioner.
Paige Hektoen now is with the health care team at Mercy Family Counseling in Cedar Rapids.

Brandon Pratt, owner of seven Corridor Pizza Ranch franchises, was awarded franchisee of the year by the restaurant chain for helping feed hospital and front line workers and staff, among others, in the aftermath of the Aug. 10 derecho.
The Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association recognized Boileau Construction with the inaugural Iowa City Area HBA Parade of Homes Remodelers Excellence Award. It also gave Builders Excellence Awards to Watts Group in North Liberty, Advantage in Tiffin, H&H Home Builders in North Liberty and Gary Frakes Construction in Iowa City.

Tanager Place awarded more than $55,000 in scholarships through the Bridge to the Future program to young people who engaged in Tanager Place programs for at least six months in the recent two years and demonstrated a desire to move on to post-secondary education.
