Laurice Higham, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, has joined UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine-Medical District in Cedar Rapids.
Elyse McGraw, an advanced registered nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner, has joined the UnityPoint Clinic Kidney Center (Nephrology) in Cedar Rapids.
Seth Hadenfeldt and Soham Dongre have joined OPN Architects in Cedar Rapids as emerging professionals.
Skywalk Group hired Esther Kalonji as an HR client consultant.

ST. LUKE’S ACCREDITATION: The American College of Cardiology has awarded UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s its Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI and Resuscitation following an on-site evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack. St. Luke’s is the only hospital in Cedar Rapids with this designation.
MERCY RECOGNITION: Mercy Medical Center has been awarded 2023 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired recognition at a certified Level 9 (of 10) organization — making it the highest-ranking hospital in Iowa — for the use of health care technology in its acute and ambulatory care delivery. The recognition came after the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Digital Health Most Wired annual survey.

ORCHESTRA IOWA CEO SEARCH: Orchestra Iowa’s board of directors has hired Aspen Leadership Group to perform a national search for the orchestra’s permanent chief executive officer. CEO Jeff Collier resigned in August, and Linda Barnes, former CEO of Geonetric, is serving as interim CEO.
DUPACO PAYOUT: Nearly 74,000 Dupaco Community Credit Union member-owners received a share of more than $3.3 million in “Thank Use” ownership perks for 2023. The average dividend was $45 this year, the eighth consecutive year a participation dividend has been paid.
CARRIAGE HOUSE RIBBON-CUTTING: The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Carriage House, 129 12th St. SE, on Oct. 25, a venue designed for weddings and corporate parties and events. The building was built in the 1880s as the carriage house to the Averill mansion.
