New hires
Nicholas Timm has joined Cedar Point Capital Partners, a Cedar Rapids wealth management company, as a director.
Cora Nunemaker and Robert Thomas have joined Skogman Realty as Realtors.
Promotions
The Linn County Sheriff's Office has promoted Heather O'Brien to lieutenant, overseeing the department’s finance division. She is the first female in the office’s history to be promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Skywalk Group, a recruiting and human resources company in Cedar Rapids, has promoted Blake DeVore to Recruiter II.

UNITYPOINT NORTH LIBERTY: North Liberty Family Health Centre, a family practice clinic with three physicians — Drs. Natalie Hempy, Lisa Johnson and Sarah von Harz — and 11 staff members will join UnityPoint Health in December. The clinic, at 420 Community Dr., Suit 1, will be renamed UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine-North Liberty.
CRST ACQUIRES BCB TRANSPORT: Cedar Rapids-based CRST, one of the largest privately held transportation companies in the U.S., has acquired BCB Transport of Mansfield, Texas. Republic Partners acted as CRST’s financial adviser in the transaction.
NEW MERCY EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT IN MARION: Mercy Medical Center has broken ground for a new Emergency Department at 999 35th St. in Marion, which is next to the MercyCare Marion clinic. The new Marion location will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and will offer on-site radiology and lab services. Ryan Companies will be designing and building the new Marion facility. Mercy has operated an Emergency Department at 1195 Boyson Rd. in Hiawatha since 2020, the first ER in Iowa outside a hospital setting.
