New Hires

Dr. Joseph Gillespie has joined the Mercy Urology Clinic at Mercy Cedar Rapids.

Sanja Hunt and Max Kalber have joined Skogman Realty as Realtors.

Promotions

OPN Architects has promoted Hugh Soward to innovation manager.

Appointments

Bob Gaffney has been named president of Cedar Rapids-based Rinderknecht Associates. He was formerly the company’s chief financial officer, and Miranda Von Ahsen was named to succeed him. Other promotions include Louis Ruggio as vice president/operations and Kelly Edmonds as vice president/construction. Scott Friauf remains the esop company’s chief executive officer and Gordon Parker the executive vice president.

Dianna Richardson has joined the board of directors at His Hands Free Clinic.

Rinderknecht Associates CEO Scott Friauf has been awarded the 2024 Master Builders of Iowa Build Iowa Award. This award recognizes Friauf’s exceptional leadership and contributions to the construction industry, both locally and statewide.

Harlequin Home moving: Harlequin Home Vintage Furniture & Home Accessories in Czech Village will be moving to Anamosa, owner Gina Ballestrasse-Ernster announced last week. The store has been in business at 76 16th Ave. SW for the past seven-and-a-half years.

ImOn to bring fiber-optic to Marshalltown: ImOn Communications announced last week it will expand its fiber-optic network to Marshalltown homes and businesses this year. Marshalltown is the fifth metro service area to be added to ImOn’s advanced fiber network, which includes the Cedar Rapids metro, Iowa City metro, Dubuque metro and Siouxland area.
