Roger W. Stone of the Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman law firm in Cedar Rapids has been recognized on the Top 10: Iowa Super Lawyers list. This is the 11th time he has been selected for the list.

Van Meter president and CEO Lura McBride is the 2023 National Association of Electrical Distributors Women in Industry Trailblazer honoree. The award, announced this month by tED magazine, recognizes women who have had an exceptional career in distribution and a positive impact on supporting women in the industry.

La Porte City Specialty Care has received the Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals Governor's Award for quality care in health care facilities.

SCORE WORKSHOPS: SCORE in-person workshops for networking and business skills will be held Thursday in Cedar Rapids. The workshop will be presented from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Scott’s Family Restaurant, 1906 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chrome Horse, 1201 Third St. SE.
