Employees of Martin Marietta Materials and Crawford Quarry Co., both in Cedar Rapids, and Wendling Quarries Inc. in DeWitt received recognition from the Iowa Limestone Producers Association for working the entire year of 2011 without a lost-time accident.
Mercy Dialysis was the recipient of the 2011 Heartland Kidney Network 5-Diamond Patient Safety Award in recognition of its patient safety initiatives and dialysis care.
Pooltech Midwest in Cedar Rapids won seven national pool design awards in the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals Regional Competition, receiving two gold, one silver and three bronze awards.
Antenna manufacturer Winegard Co., based in Burlington, created the Winegard Truckload Carrier of the Year Award to recognize Heartland Express Inc. for its transportation services.
