M.C. Ginsberg Objects of Art in Iowa City received second place in a leading jewelry trade journal's ranking of the “coolest big jewelry stores.” The trade magazine Instore released its 10th annual rankings. Stores are judged in exterior appearance, interior appearance, store biography, advertising, website and overall individuality.

Ramsey Creek Woodworks, a custom cabinetry building and installation business, is the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation's Renew Rural Iowa Entrepreneur of the Month award winner. Bill Yoder and Lynn Hostetler run the company with Mike Springer.

MISCELLANEOUS

Premiere Investments of Iowa and Financial Planning Services announced their affiliation.

Electrical Engineering & Equipment Co. acquired City Electric Supply of Iowa City. This brings the number of 3E's electrical distribution locations to 15.

TD&T Financial Group and Taylor, Rees, Beckey & Co. have merged. The firm, with locations in Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Centerville, Fairfield, Mount Pleasant, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, Pella, Sigourney and Muscatine, will do business as TD&T Financial.
