Certifications

Oncology Associates at Mercy was recognized by the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative Certification Program, an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. The program provides a three-year certification for outpatient hematology-oncology practices that meet standards for quality cancer care. This program certifies that the practice meets core standards in all areas of treatment.

Meetings

APICS (The Association for Operations Management) Cedar Valley chapter, will meet at 6 p.m., Sept. 13, at the Best Western Longbranch Hotel Restaurant & Convention Center, 90 Twixt Town Road NE, Cedar Rapids. Keynote speaker will be Dennis Jordan with Priority One, Economic Development Division, Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.

Contests

Four Corridor companies are among seven finalists named Thursday in the 2011 John Pappajohn Iowa Business Plan Competition - CQM System of Coralville, FxRedux Solutions, Radiology Protocols and Responsible Transportation of Iowa City. The seven finalists will enter the third round of competition Sept. 8 in Ames, with finalists names Sept. 8. The competition is designed to stimulate business development and provide support for outstanding business plans.
