Awards

Six wines from the 2010 vintage of the Winery at Kirkwood have been awarded the Iowa Vintners Quality Alliance Quality Wine Seal. The seal is awarded to Iowa wines that pass rigorous chemical analysis and a blind tasting by an expert panel. Recognized were Kirkwood's Seyval, LaCrosee, Edelweiss, Frontenac Gris, Niagara and Catawba wines.

APICS (Association for Operations Management) Cedar Valley chapter will meet at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Best Western Plus Longbranch Hotel Restaurant & Convention Center, 90 Twixt Town Rd.
