Baker's Pride to add high-tech doughnut factory at Burlington

Baker's Pride Inc. said Thursday that it plans to open a high-technology doughnut factory at its current operations in Burlington.
The facility will produce both frozen ready-to-finish and ready-to-sell doughnuts. It will expand Baker's Pride's doughnut offerings to include yeast-raised doughnuts and a variety of filled doughnuts, as well as additional cake-style doughnuts.
The 65,000-square-foot facility will be located at Baker's Pride's Mount Pleasant Street Bakery. The products are sold mainly to in-store bakeries at retail grocery locations nationwide.
