Alliant Energy has hired former Iowa Utilities Board member Krista Tanner to support strategic initiatives at its Interstate Power & Light subsidiary.
Tanner was hired as director of policy, planning and integration. She will be based in the utility's Des Moines office.
Former Gov. Chet Culver appointed Tanner to the Iowa Utilities Board in April 2007. She was previously an attorney with the law firm of Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler and Hagen PC in Des Moines, specializing in litigation, government, regulatory and utilities law.
"Krista's experience working on behalf of utility customers in Iowa will help us as we execute our company strategy to deliver competitive costs, reliable service and a balanced generation portfolio," Interstate Power & Light President Tom Aller said in prepared remarks.
