Mission Creek Festival brings famed authors to Iowa City

IOWA CITY - Mission Creek Festival made its first lineup announcement on Dec. 10.
Among those participating in the five-day festival's literary events are Rachel Kushner, Brian Evenson, Jason Isbell and Leslie Jamison.
Evenson is the writer-in-residence for the festival. Two-time National Book Award nominee Kushner will be in Iowa City fresh off the release of her acclaimed 2013 novel “The Flamethrowers.”
The festival will be held in various venues throughout downtown Iowa City from April 1 to 6. More authors will be announced at a later date.
Festival passes are on sale now. Individual event tickets will go on sale at a later time.
