Big Ten Media Days: Michigan's Rich Rodriguez

Rodriguez has 113 career victories. Michigan has 18 starters on defense/offense, and 10 on offense after 5-7 season.
Last couple of years, "a lot of drama." Said he's the most excited coach to get back to coaching football.
Expects experience on offensive line to be improved.
"At times the two years have gone fast, at times it feels like forever."
On QB situation: "Really it's a wide-open competition." Mentioned true freshman Devin Gardner would compete with Denard Robinson and Tate Forcier for starting role.
Said there's lots of players at linebacker, with probably five or six players challenging for playing time.
He said team is much closer. "Nobody likes what's going on in our programs the last couple of years, in terms of wins and losses."
"I don't know much about what's going on (with his team) in the summer."
On divisional alignment/championship game: "I think he's exciting to have a championship game potentially."
"There's pros and cons."
He hopes to keep rivalry games with Ohio State and Michigan State.
"Sure. I think we need to keep playing (Ohio State). That rivalry may be the greatest rivalry in sports."
He said when in the season Michigan plays Ohio State isn't as important as making sure they play them annually.
