KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Despite a second straight loss over the weekend, Mount Mercy remained in the top 25, coming in at No. 22 in the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll on Dec. 5.
The Mustangs (8-2, 0-1 MCC) dropped from 14th to 22nd after an 87-80 loss at Grand View on Saturday. With 126 points, Mount Mercy is right behind No. 21 Taylor (Ind.) The top three teams in the poll remained the same, with Indiana Wesleyan (9-0) sitting at No. 1, followed by Northwood (Fla.) (6-1) and Davenport (Mich.) (10-0). In addition to Grand View and Mount Mercy, two more Midwest Collegiate Conference teams received votes, No. 30 Iowa Wesleyan (31 pts.) and No. 42 Clarke (1 pt.).
