Jarrod Uthoff of Cedar Rapids leaving Wisconsin's basketball program

Apr. 12, 2012 9:42 pm
Jarrod Uthoff, Iowa's high school "Mr. Basketball" in 2011, is leaving Wisconsin's basketball program without having played a game for the Badgers.
Uthoff red-shirted in the 2011-2012 season. If he wants to play Division I ball, he'll have to sit out the 2012-2013 season and would have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Uthoff was the Mississippi Valley Conference's Player of the Year in 2011 after averaging 26.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game in senior season for Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
He was recruited by Iowa and other D-I schools before selecting Bo Ryan's Wisconsin program.
