Iowa’s Uthoff top pick in PTL draft

IOWA CITY - University of Iowa senior Jarrod Uthoff was the top pick in last night's Prime Time League draft.

The 29th PTL season begins Thursday at the North Liberty Community.

Uthoff will play for PTL founder Randy Larson's Westport Touchless Autowash/Beat the Bookstore team.

Iowa's Adam Woodbury was the second pick, going to Jill Armstrong Realty.

UNI's Wes Washpun was picked third and will play for Jess Settles' Marion Iron Company. UNI's Paul Jesperson went fourth, followed by Iowa's Anthony Clemmons, Mike Gessell and Peter Jok.

Uthoff will be joined on Larson's team by Aarias Austin of UNI, Dom Uhl of Iowa and recent Iowa City West graduate David DiLeo.

Former Hawkeye Matt Gatens was taken in the second round by Settles.
