Iowa Women blow past Illini 83-64

The Iowa Women's basketball team survived a scare and pulled away at the end to defeat Illinois 83-64 tonight at Carver Hawkeye Arena.  Senior Kachine Alexander scored 16 points on Senior Night and Iowa guard Jaime Printy scored a career high 32 points to lead all scorers.

Iowa ended the game on a 30-10 run in the final 7:33.  The largest lead Iowa had up until late in the 2

half was 9 points as they lead 40-31 at halftime.

Iowa takes on Indiana on Sunday in Bloomington for their regular season finale.

Iowa was attempting to set an all-time season attendance record.  Unfortunately the attendance was about 2K short, but that was definitely due to the weather outside as snow fell hard outside Carver.
