The Iowa men's basketball team was outscored 41-17 in the second half at Virginia Tech (6-0) in a Big Ten/ACC Challenge game Tuesday in Blacksburg, Va., and lost for the third time in four games, 79-55.
The Hawkeyes (4-3) open Big Ten play at 4 p.m. Saturday against Penn State (6-1) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena (BTN).
