There are three new No. 1s in this week’s Associated Press Iowa high school boys’ basketball poll.
Ames retained the top spot in Class 4A. The Little Cyclones (7-1) have not lost to an Iowa team this season, receiving eight of 13 first-place votes.
Pleasant Valley (9-0) and Iowa City West (7-0) check in second and third, respectively, as the lone unbeaten teams remaining in the class. Cedar Rapids Prairie (8-1) is seventh and Cedar Rapids Kennedy (6-2) ninth.
Harlan (9-0) takes over at No. 1 in Class 3A for Dallas Center-Grimes, which lost last week to Pella. DC-G is fourth, Pella sixth.
Washington (9-1) has jumped to third. Clear Creek-Amana (8-1) is eighth.
Central Lyon (10-0) is first in Class 2A despite not getting as many first-place votes as No. 2 Van Meter (10-0). Monticello (11-0) is fourth, the first of three River Valley Conference members in the top 10.
Camanche (10-0) is sixth and Mid-Prairie (10-0) ninth. Monticello plays both schools this week.
Grand View Christian (12-0) is a strong and new No. 1 in Class 1A. North Linn (10-1) dropped from first to third after its loss just before Christmas to Edgewood-Colesburg.
