Here are the 2024 All-River Valley Conference boys’ basketball teams
Preston Ries of Monticello and Holden Arnaman of West Branch are the players of the year in their respective divisions

CEDAR RAPIDS — Senior forward Preston Ries of Monticello and senior guard Holden Arnaman of West Branch are the boys’ basketball players of the year in their respective divisions of the River Valley Conference, the league announced Wednesday.
North Division MVP Ries, a University of Iowa football signee, averaged 26.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in the regular season. He shot 55.5 percent from the field.
South Division MVP Arnaman averaged 24.1 points per game in the regular season. The Minnesota State recruit also averaged 6.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists and shot 49.7 percent from 3-point range (83 of 167).
Monticello’s Tim Lambert and West Branch’s Jason Kern are the Coaches of the Year in their respective divisions. Their teams won division championships.
