Sixteen more teams clinched spots in the Iowa high school state baseball tournament with victories Wednesday, substate finals night in Class 3A and Class 4A.
Here's a look at the final scores and area coverage.
• Tuesday's 1A, 2A substate baseball roundup
• State baseball pairings and schedule
Class 3A
Substate 1, at Le Mars
No. 6 Sioux City Heelan 5, Sergeant Bluff-Luton 4
Substate 2, at Boone
Boone 5, Humboldt 0
Substate 3, at Waverly-Shell Rock
No. 7 Waverly-Shell Rock 6, No. 8 West Delaware 2
Brady Leonard pitched a complete-game three-hitter for Waverly-Shell Rock.
Waverly-Shell Rock broke open a 2-2 game in the bottom of the fifth inning with RBI singles by Brady Leonard, Payton Leonard, Luke Willis and Carson Kallenberger.
West Delaware scored in the top of the first on a Jarod Harris sacrifice fly and tied the game in the third on a RBI groundout by Harris.
Substate 4, at Cedar Rapids Xavier
No. 3 Davenport Assumption 4, DeWitt Central 2
Substate 5, at Solon
The numbers on the scoreboard looked dominant for Solon's Cam Miller.
The Spartans right-hander had a no-hitter going through four innings, but that didn't mean Miller had his best stuff.
Miller eventually found that groove, striking out 10 and allowing just a fifth-inning single in 6 1/3 innings. He hit the pitch-count limit and Tyler Linderbaum came on to get the final two outs as the Spartans advanced to state for the seventh time in school history with a 4-0 victory before an overflow crowd at the Solon diamond.

Substate 3, at Marshalltown
Marshalltown 9, Iowa City High 2
A rugged conference schedule produced a pedestrian record for the Marshalltown baseball team.
A 14-6 start to the season abruptly gave way to 12 losses in 17 games against a stout group of foes from the Central Iowa Metro League. Some topsy-turvy district results had many feeling the Bobcats were vulnerable to elimination.
But behind a rousing home-field crowd, an impenetrable pitcher and a deliberate, methodical offense, Marshalltown is on its way to the state tournament for the first time since 2009.

Substate 4, at Cedar Rapids Prairie
Western Dubuque 9, No. 3 Cedar Rapids Prairie 0
The Mississippi Valley Conference had best beware. Western Dubuque comes in next season with a baseball team that loses only one starter to graduation.
These Bobcats are gonna be really good.
But let's back things up first, and warn the other seven teams in this year's Class 4A state tournament. These Bobcats are already really good and have the arms to make a deep run.

North Scott 3, Davenport West 2
Substate 6, at Iowa City West
Cedar Rapids Washington 5, No. 4 Iowa City West 2
For the third time in the postseason, Washington erased an early deficit to extend its year. Jacob Bockenstedt was impressive on the mound and the Warriors tallied five unmatched runs for a 5-2 upset.
Washington (25-17) will make its second straight state appearance and eighth overall, coming at the expense of the Trojans, who eliminated them in the state quarterfinals a year ago.
