Sister, Kaylia.• High-school achievements: Earned varsity letters in four sports. He was a two-time all-state pick in football and named captain of the Class 2A team by the Iowa Newspaper Association. Played in the 2017 U.S. Army All-American bowl game. Won 98 matches in his wrestling career, winning the 2A heavyweight state title with a 21-3 record. He was a three-time state wrestling qualifier. Won five individual state titles in track and field. Second all-time with a shot put of 67 feet and fifth all-time in the discus (195 feet, two inches). Swept throwing titles at Drake Relays.
