CEDAR RAPIDS -- Kelsey Kudej has been hired as softball coach at Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
For the past two seasons, Kudej has served as an assistant coach within the Jefferson softball program while also working at West Willow Elementary.
“I feel honored and blessed to have this opportunity to lead the Jefferson softball program,” said Kudej said in a release.
“Having been part of the program for the past two seasons, I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead. I look forward to continuing to develop these young women into outstanding athletes and even better people.”
Born and raised in Southern California, Kudej concluded her collegiate career at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Kudej succeeds Mike Kuba, who piloted Jefferson as head coach for seven seasons, posting a 133-130 record, including 16-25 last season.
