Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre and Friends present this timely puppet show dealing with universal issues brought on by generations of immigration into the rural Midwest. Cathy Schmidt-McGillicutty, the proprietress of the local cafe, is upset because her daughter wants to marry a member of a Mexican immigrant family. She confronts her prejudice as she looks into her own family history, showing the audience a diverse group of ancestors starting with a Native American great-grandmother. For weeks, people have been pouring into the small western town of Deadwood for the biggest poker tournament this side of the Mississippi. From outlaws to marshals to saloon girls, the vast array of visitors and residents of Deadwood have made this small western frontier town the place to be.
